Comments and Notes: Commentary attributed to Thomas, Wallensis, also known as the Pseudo-Thomas Aquinas, by GW. Title and imprint from colophon (p. [278]). Tabula has caption title (p. [3]), which reads: Incipit Tabula sup[er] libris Boecij De consolatione philosophie secundum ordinem alphabeti. Text has caption title (p. [13]), which reads: Auicij [i.e. Anicij] Manlij Torquati Seuerini Boecij ordinarij patricij viri exconsulis De consolatione philosophie liber primus[-quintus] incipit metrum primum heroicum elegiacum. Commentary has caption title (p. [83]), which reads: Sancti Thome de Aquino sup[er] libris Boecij De consolatione philosophie comentum cum expositione feliciter incipit. Leaves printed on both sides; 34 lines of text, 47 lines of commentary per page. Unsigned gatherings. Spaces for initials. The Tabula and the commentary are printed in double columns. Pages [1-2], [79-82], [211-212] and [279-280] are blank. Includes index. Rubricated throughout in red and blue inks. Bookplate: Burndy Library ... gift of Bern Dibner.
