Couplets by Santritter on leaf a1 verso give the imprint information: Hoc Augustensis ratdolt Germanus Erhardus dispositis signis vndiq[ue] pressit opus. … Anno S. 1483. Idus Septembri Uenetijs. Signatures: a10 b-c8 chi2. Final [4] pages consist of four leaves pasted together in pairs. Printed in red and black. Text printed in double columns; 42 lines per page. Ornamental border on a1 recto; initials; volvelles. Last line of last table (leaf C8 verso) reads: 1531 9 Aprilis 2 Aprilis 7. Volvelles lacking in Dibner copy. ISTC does not list this as being in the Dibner Library, but in the Burndy Library. Woodcut title (leaf a1 recto). The Epitoma was begun by Georg von Peurbach and finished by Regiomontanus; the editors for this edition were Giovanni Abiosi, Caspar Grossch and Stephanus Roemer. Imprint from Goff. Incipit (leaf a2 recto) reads: Cl. Ptolemei Alexandrini Astronomo[rum] principis [Is megalin sintaxin] id est In magnam constructione[m]. Colophon (leaf p7 verso) reads: Explicit Magne compositionis astronomicon epitoma .... Opera quoq[ue] [et] arte impressionis mirifica viri solertis Iohannis Ha[m]man de Landoia, dictus Hertzog, felicibus astris expletum. ... In hemispherio Ueneto, anno salutis 1496 currente, pridie calen[das] Septembris Uenetijs ... "Some copies contain the text of a 2-leaf letter of Johannes Baptista Abiosus, dated 15 Aug. 1496, and inserted between a1 and a2" --Goff; this letter not present in Dibner library copy. Leaves [27]-[28] and [29]-[30] are pasted together: the first pair of leaves supports a moveable volvelle, while the second pair of leaves holds a brass pointer and mount. Signatures: a10 b8 c12. Leaf c8 (i.e. leaf [26]) is blank. Initials. Dibner Library copy imperfect: Volvelle (on leaves [27]-[28]) and brass pointer (on leaves [29]-[30]) are wanting.
