Comments and Notes: ISTC uses author form: Rhasis, Mohammed. In the BMC copy a blank leaf, which appears to be the original fifth leaf of the quire, follows the colophon. According to L.S. Olschki, in La Bibliofilia 17 (1915) p.32, this book should contain after the colophon a leaf of text. Cf. BMC VII 907. Uniform title from Encyclopedia Britannica. Title and imprint from colophon. Editio princeps. Stamped signatures: a10 b-v8 x6. Last word in line 6, column 1, p. 1 is aristoteles. Final leaf blank. Not in Goff. Stamped on spine: Liber salutis Sylani super nno. 1. Almans. Triangle cut away from bottom margin, leaf k ; text not affected but trimming has affected many of the signatures. Name, Coradinus, eradicated from colophon. Ms. initials in red or blue; ms. foliation and some marginalia. In 37 cm. case.
