All blank leaves (v. 1, leaves 1 and 370; v. 2, leaf 328) are wanting in the Dibner Library copy. Partially legible stamp on inside front cover of both v.: Osterreichisches Bundesdenkmalamt. Bookplate: Burndy Library … gift of Bern Dibner. Contemporary full leather binding over wooden boards; covers blind-ruled in a diamond pattern, with blind-stamped flowers inside each lozenge on the front cover; raised bands; blind-tooled spine with floral decorations; vellum free endleaves; title inked on lower edge of each v.; remnants of leather and metal clasps. Laid-in items: photocopies of booksellers' descriptions of Vincent of Beauvais's Speculum naturale (this same ed. but not this same copy; H.P. Kraus) and Speculum morale (1493 ed.; Zeitlin & ver Brugge); also p. [125]-128 of The Yale University Library Gazette, v. 46, no. 3, January, 1972, featuring an article by Thomas E. Marston describing Yale's copy of Vincent of Beauvais's Speculum historiale (Strasbourg : J. Mentelin, 1473).
