Unsung Heroes

The Institution honored three members of the Libraries staff as Unsung Heroes during this anniversary year: Nicholas Schliapin, Cataloging Services, Helen Holley, National Museum of American History Branch, and Sharon Layne, Preservation Services.

The program celebrates the contributions of Smithsonian staff who are selected by a panel from nominations by fellow staff members for their outstanding contributions "above and beyond" their assigned duties.
