Mary Augusta Thomas is the Associate Director for Reader Services and Strategic Planning. Through a network of 20 libraries located in the Washington metropolitan area, New York City, Suitland and Edgewater, Md., and the Republic of Panama, the division provides library and information support to all of the Institution's research, education, and exhibition programs and to any research activities that require use of SIL information services and collections. The collections encompass 1.5 million books and journal volumes, including over 40,000 rare books and manuscripts, as well as electronic and other non-print resources, including microfilm, videotape, sound recordings, and photographs.
