Some marginal annotations in ink in an old hand throughout; Priscian's verse interpretation is extensively annotated. Modern half-vellum binding over green paper boards.

Incipit (leaf a2 recto) reads: Pomponii Melae Cosmographi de situ orbis liber primus. Includes prefatory letter from the editor, Ermolao Barbaro, to Pope Alexander VI (leaf a1 verso). Signatures: a-h4 i6. Leaves printed on both sides; 27 lines per page. Guide-letters; initial. Bookplate: Burndy Library ... gift of Bern Dibner. Some marginal annotations made in ink in an old hand. Bound in full vellum over paper boards; the vellum appears to be a leaf taken from an unidentified early book printed in black and red.
