Comments and Notes: Proctor assigned this work to Francisci. This issue has two colophons on fol. 64r and 70v, reading Florence, 1496 and Venice, 13 Nov. 1495 respectively. For a discussion of these conflicting imprints, see BMC V xlii. Title from leaf pi1 recto. Imprint from Goff. First colophon (leaf L4 recto; 64a) reads: Florentiae impressum anno a natali christiano .M.cccc.lxxxxyi. Second colophon (leaf a6 verso; 70b) reads: Venetiis anno a natali Christiano .M.cccc.lxxxxy Idibus Nouembris. Second edition, printed in Venice by Christophoro de Pensis, de Mandello. For a detailed discussion of the two conflicting colophons, see BM 15th cent., V, xlii. Leaves printed on both sides; 44 lines per page. Signatures: pi2 A-I6 K-L4 a-b6 2a6 2b4. Guide-letters. Leaf A1 missigned "a". Imperfect: Dibner Library copy contains Vitruvius's De architectura only; the other tracts (all after leaf L4) are wanting. Armorial bookplate: Libreria Lebano, with motto: Saltus fuit; a stamp with the same motto is on t.p. Bookplate: Burndy Library ... gift of Bern Dibner.
