Che altri non le posa stampare ne far stampare in terre ne luochi de la Illustrissima Signoria de Venetia ... The colophon is followed by "Oratio Fvnebris. Mathei Vicecomitis. In funere. M. A. S. ... " which is followed by the printer's mark. Identified by P. Kristeller as that of Gotardus de Ponte, printing at Milan 1503-35 (cf. Die ital. buchdrucker- und verlegerzeichen, 1893, p. 30-31) Signatures: 8 l., a8, b-c6, d4, e-z6, &6, [apostrophus]6, R6, A-C6, D8, E-T6, V10 Errors in foliation: xxiiii-xxv, ccxxxviii omitted, ccxxxvii repeated; xxxi, cclxxviii misprinted xxix and cclxxviiii. Title in red within woodcut border; another title in large gothic type within the same border at end: Deche De lorigine de Veneti [etc.] Spaces for initials, with indicators. Latin original printed 1487; this translation lacks the last 3 books, ending with Decha tertia, Libro decimo, Cap. III. In contemporary white vellum. Provenance: Dr. Bruno Guaraldi (bookplate); Fischer (?) (inscription) Dibner gift.
