Caption title from incipit, leaf a3 recto. Leaf a2 recto has caption title, which reads: Ausonius Hesperio filio salute[m]: In libros Suetonii. Imprint extracted from colophon (leaf q4 recto). Leaves printed on both sides; 44 lines per page. Signatures: a8 b-p6 q4. Leaf a1 is blank. Guide-letters; spaces for initials. Bookplate: Dottor Bruno Guaraldi. Bookplate: Burndy Library ... gift of Bern Dibner. Bookplate: C.P. (a woodcut image of death holding actors' masks; the initials appear on pages of an open book). Stamp on leaf a2 recto: Biblioteca Comunitativa Magnani, Bologna; other stamps illegible. Faint traces of old ms. notes in margins. Modern full leather binding; gilt-tooled spine.

Title from leaf 2a1 recto (wanting in Dibner Library copy). Caption title for the text (leaf a1 recto) reads: Caii Suetonii Tranquilli De uita duodecim Caesarum liber primus [-duodecimus]. Imprint extracted from colophon (leaf S5 recto), which reads as shown in BM 15th cent. Leaves printed on both sides; 62 lines of commentary per page. Signatures: 2a4 a-z8 &8 [con]8 [rum]8 A-R8 S6. Final leaf (S6) is blank; wanting in Dibner Library copy. Initials; guide-letters; spaces for initials; side-notes; printer's device on leaf S5 recto.
