First colophon (leaf n5 recto) reads: Preclarissimi in philosophi Gaetani Thiennensis Uicentini: co[m]mento in tria volumina A[ristotelis] De anima Deo fauente maximo finis impositus est Henrici de Sanco [i.e. Sancto] Urso impensa ingenioq[ue] diligenter impresso [et] sollerti cura emendato: Uicen[sem]. Anno ab Incarnatio Domini M.cccc.lxxxvj. xj. Cal[endas]. Octobris. Second colophon (leaf t2 recto) reads: ... Deo optimo maximoq[ue] fauente finis feliciter impositus est: impe[n]sa ingenioq[ue] Henrici de Sancto Urso summa cum diligentia impressis Uincentie annis D[omi]ni ab Incarnatione. M.cccc.lxxxvj. xvii. Cal[endas] nouembris. Two states of the incipit are known, varying in line-endings. Cf. BM 15th cent. Leaves printed on both sides; 67-68 lines of commentary per page. Signatures: a8 (-a6) b-c6 d-l8/6 m6 n8 o-p6 q8 r-s6 t4. Text in double columns. The first page (leaf a1 recto) and the final two leaves (t3 and t4) are blank. Spaces for initials; printer's device on colophon (leaf t2 recto). Bookplate: Burndy Library ... gift of Bern Dibner. Printed bookseller's catalog description tipped in on front paste-down. Extensive old ms. annotations, generally affected by cropped margins. Imperfect: Leaves a2 and a3 slightly damaged by wormholes; leaves i5 and i6 have been torn at bottom and repaired, with some loss of text. Modern quarter-leather binding with old rubricated manuscript-waste vellum over paper boards; gilt-lettered spine.
