Authorized Users: Authorized Users are those individuals officially affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, registered library patrons serving in the capacity of full or part time employees, fellows, interns, individuals under contract, and other registered patrons who are assigned to an authorized Smithsonian site. Non SI affiliated library users may access SIL purchased electronic resources only when they are using terminals physically located in the library.
Interlibrary Loan Terms: Hard or electronic copy derived directly or indirectly from the electronic edition of the publications may be used for the purpose of Interlibrary Loan with the same limitations that apply to paper copies for that purpose made from the print edition of the journal. Specifically, copies must be made in compliance with Section 108 of the Copyright Act of the United States and with guidelines developed by the National Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works (CONTO Guidelines), the text of which is available as part of U.S. Copyright Circular 21.
General Notes: Any Authorized User may search, download, and save material included in the Journal for his or her own use, except that downloading of the entire issues of the Journal is not permitted. Single printed copies of individual articles may be made for private use or research.
