AltaVista
Alta Vista means view from above in Spanish. It was the first searchable, full-text database on the World Wide Web in 1995, and it has changed over time. Advanced Alta Vista searches may be conducted using the Boolean search terms, "AND," "OR," and "NOT." Researchers may search for exact phrases, titles, URLs, domain locations and date ranges.
