This slim catalog opens a window on modern Gabonese sculpture, but only for a brief glimpse. Of the seven sculptors featured, all but one are or have been affiliated with the École Nationale des Arts et Manufacture (ENAM) in Libreville. The artists are: Pépin Antonio, Joseph Aubin, Zéphyrin Lendogno, Christian Ndong Menzamet, David Nal-Vad, Jean Auguste Nzigou Boussougou, and Daniel Sima-Messi.
