Sebiri; group of men
C3:
A group of Sebiri Papuans from the lower Mamberamo. This group lived in the region lying between the Rombebai Lake and Albatross Camp. The forehead ornaments are of cowrie shells. The hair is permitted to grow long and is gathered into plaits which are coiled on the top of the head. The coils are then wrapped in rattan in such fashion as to make what appears to be a coiled spiral helmet.
